A disappointing result on a wet, freezing afternoon at the Causeway after a good start from the lads looking up for the game, hassling well in midfield & attacking the Melksham goal, but a slick move and a goal for Melksham in the 11th minute from Alex Henshall.

Michael Symons was winning the battle up front for us, holding the ball well, but the final finish was not there.  Felix Miles looked good down the wing and went by a few of the Melksham players well, but the Melksham keeper looked sharp and pulled off some good saves!

17 minutes in and Melksham have the ball in the back of the net from Ralph Graham  making it 2 – nil to the visitors, with the rain coming down harder and making the ground more slick.

Melksham attack again but our Keeper Ellis pulls off a good save!  As we approach half time Melksham score again in the 40th minute, Jay Malshanskyj.

Second half rain still coming down and no warmer, 51st minute we are losing by 4 goals now, this time Melksham’s Albert Hopkins slots one in.

Decision is made to shake up the Foresters with 3 substitutions – Tristan Haswell replaced by Dion Molyneux, Felix Miles replaced by Jack Freeman & Finley Bell replaced by Stuart Fleetwood.  Passions are high as the changes are made.

Stuart Fleetwood looked good up front running off the hold up play of Symo, with some good passes & forward movement.  Sadly the Melksham keeper was having a good day and pulled off some good saves looking very confident and commanding in the box.

Certainly our lads looked a different side in the second half but were unable to put one in the back of the net.

It puts us second from bottom on equal points with Willand Rovers & Bristol Manor Farm, who we are away to this Saturday, 18th March.  After Saturdays game we have 3 more home games & 3 away games so the points are there to keep us up & you can bet that the lads will do their best to make that happen!

Attendance on the day was 109 & even though we lost, the support and noise was there!
