Sooty gives his thoughts on our performance against Cribbs away on Saturday.
“Reflecting on yesterday’s result it was a tough one to take especially after the highs of the derby day victory on Monday but it had all the ingredients to see us get turned over! Turning up to a place where the wind was howling and against a team fighter for their lives – without arguably our best player over the past few games (Chambo) it had the potential to pan out how it did!
“The old cliche “goals change games” rang true as for the first moments of the game we started well and were on top then a calamity goal suddenly gave them something to cling onto and in reality we never recovered from that!
“The only real football we played resulted in a well taken goal from Ryan. We know as a group it wasn’t acceptable but Cribbs had to win to give themselves a chance of staying in the league and that showed in their desire.
“We had great support again and we let them down but we’ve now got two home games to get good numbers at the causeway and we can put Saturday right! And continue to build a bond between us that will help push us on next season!
