After a fantastic 2-0 win at home against Highworth Town on Tuesday night, Sooty reflects on the team’s performance, and looks ahead to our final game of the season on Saturday.
“A really good win and the performance in the first half was as good as I’ve seen this season! Tino, Ryan and Capes were probably the stand outs but every player was at it – complete contrast to Saturday but another good performance in front of our own fans which is so important!
“And there’s one more to go! Saturday’s game against a decent Tuffley outfit will be tough but we will be hoping to bring the levels like we did Tuesday to thank you the fans and to show you what it means to play for you and this club.
“So hopefully we can get great numbers down to the causeway to support and I’ll be looking to chatting to as many of you as possible in the bar after the game!
“We had won only 2 games out of 8 before we came together and since then we’ve won 6 from 10 so I’m pleased we’ve been able to turn that round for you.
