Finally! The wait is over for us as we kick off our 2026/27 Hellenic League Premier Division campaign against Bradford Town on Saturday afternoon. Following an encouraging pre-season we will once again be hoping to get the ball rolling under our new campaign.

After all, why shouldn’t we? We have already begun laying down an early marker that could prove decisive later in the year. With both teams starting off with zero points the opportunity is ripe and ready to grab momentum right from the outset.

Bradford Town return to the Hellenic Premier Division after a lateral move from the Western League Premier. Under manager Chris Carr (with the help of his excellent coaching set up) the Wiltshire side will look to make a good impression this season as they settle back into life in the top flight.

For the Foresters though, we enter the new campaign full of optimism about our chances of success. A strong pre-season means players can focus entirely on developing during training sessions without worrying about anything else. In addition to integrating some brand new talent we were able to spend plenty of hours honing skills and tactics.

As ever though no one looks at the league table before August so maybe just getting those three points away counts towards our goal…
