“Drawing too many will cost us.”
Cinderford town came from a goal behind in stoppage time to rescue a point against in form Stourport swifts and maintain the foresters unbeaten home record.
Ryan Hillier’s final minute header cancelled out Swifts goal that came mid way through the first half.
“I am obviously pleased we got something from the game as our performance (especially second half) deserved a point but the reality is that’s 4 draws from 6 home games and that’s not good enough!
“We know what we want to achieve this year and it shows good character but ultimately we need to turn draws into wins!
“We’ve had a tough run of games but that’s the league! and it doesn’t get easier but we cannot keep dropping points especially at home .
“I’d have probably taken 4pts from Westfields away and Stourport (who had won 4 on the bounce) at home but having picked up the 3 at Westfields it makes a draw here harder to take.
“We’ve got another tough away day Saturday when we visit Devizes so we need to use this week to prepare properly for that game.
“It was great to get Jordan Annear out there and he showed his qualities and the fans hopefully liked what they saw from him and he was denied a debut goal with their keeper making a great save.
“Capes was forced off and it looks a bad one but hopefully we can get it assessed and it won’t be as bad – he’s been brilliant this season in every role he’s been asked to play so it’ll be a blow to have him missing, but our squad is good enough to cope so we need to focus on getting back to winning ways next Saturday hopefully with a great support from the fans”.
