Goalkeeper Adam Forster is the latest signing for Steve Cleals new look Cinderford squad.

The 19yr old goalkeeper signs from Yate where he turned in some notable performances during their Souther Premier League season last year. The former Bath City and Paulton Rovers stopper currently studying at Hartpury comes highly recommended and with bags of experience for a young goalkeeper.

“The right goalkeeper is important and in Adam we’ve found that! The type of style we want to adapt he fits that well and he’s certainly vocal and that can only be a good thing, in the couple of sessions he’s had with us he fits in and you can see his quality is clear to see” Cleal said.

On becoming Cinderfords no 1 the young keeper had this to say “‘I’m absolutely delighted to sign for Cinderford, they’re a club who have always been in and around the top and I hope that this season we are able to carry that on and push for promotion. I’ve had a good few chats with the gaffer and he has a clear philosophy of how he wants to play and the goals for the upcoming season, which really attracted me to come and play for him and the club.”

”There’s a lot of new faces at the club, but I feel that with our mix of youth and experience, we have a really good balance throughout the squad which will help us throughout the season.”

“For myself I feel that even at a young age I have a lot of experience at this level of football and I feel that I can help the team to finish as high up in the league as possible”

Our first pre season game is Tuesday 18th away vs Brimscombe and Thrupp. This match will be behind closed doors.
